If you have ever been furniture shopping then you know how frustrating it can be when you have a very specific idea of what you want- but can’t seem to find it, no matter how hard you try. Or maybe you have the perfect piece of furniture that fits your space, is well constructed and functional for your needs- but is so ugly you can not stand to look at it one more day. There is no question that the quality and craftsmanship of antique furniture surpasses any mass-produced piece you can find today. Every piece has its own individual story. When you choose to UPDATE rather than REPLACE- you have the unique opportunity to merge your personal style with a little piece of history. I personally hand paint and distress each piece of furniture in my store. Have a design request? We take care of that too- if it’s not something I have- I will hunt down what you are looking for so that you can have the piece you dream about. Whether the inspiration comes from myself, or from a custom client request, I enjoy the creative process and the challenge of making something that may be a little outdated and ugly into something that feels fresh, current and beautiful. One of my favorite things about restoring old furniture is that it truly becomes a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of art. Below are some examples of the amazing transformations we have had the pleasure of completing.
